Gingerbread Body Scrubs

Author, Ann Tarpley Francesco's Gingerbread Spice Mix is the base ingredient of this scrub. Also makes a great gift!

Did you know that spices offer benefits that are good for your body on the outside, not just the inside? Enjoy making and using these personal recipes from author, Ann Tarpley Francesco. Not only will you enjoy the aroma as you shower or bathe, you will love the way these scrubs make your skin feel!
GINGERBREAD BODY SCRUB

​INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • ½ cup almond oil or fractionated coconut oil
  • 2 T Ann’s Gingerbread Spice Mix
  • ½ tsp Vitamin E oil

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Heat the oil and the spice mix in a crockpot on low until dissolved and fragrant.
  2. Strain the oil/spice mixture into a small bowl.
  3. Cool mixture, then add the brown sugar and Vitamin E oil.
  4. Mix together and store in a container with a tight lid.
  5. Use as a body scrub in the shower after cleansing.
  6. Rinse off while in shower.
Caution:  The shower floor will be slippery due to the oil.  Clean the shower after using and wipe dry.

GINGERBREAD BODY SCRUB
with Molasses


Your body will feel amazing and moisturized with the addition of molasses to the scrub.

​INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • ½ blackstrap molasses
  • ½ cup fractionated coconut oil or almond oil
  • 2 tbsp. Ann’s Gingerbread Spice Mix
  • ½ tsp. vitamin E oil

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Heat molasses, coconut or almond oil with Gingerbread Spice in a crockpot on low until dissolved.
  2. Strain crockpot mixture into a small bowl. Let cool.
  3. Add the brown sugar and Vitamin E oil and mix together.
  4. The mixture will be very thick and goopy because of the molasses.
  5. Apply to body (except face) in the shower.
  6. Rinse off completely.

Caution:  The shower floor will be slippery due to the oil.  Clean the shower after using and wipe dry.

One teaspoon of ground cinnamon contains 1.4 grams of fiber. The spice is also a good source of calcium and iron.
