Gingerbread Train Cookie Ornaments

 A festive addition to any Christmas tree, use your Gingerbread Train cookie cutter to make these keepsake ornaments to enjoy year after year each holiday season.
​
MATERIALS:
  • Gingerbread Train cookie cutter and other favorite cookie cutter shapes (baked using Ann's BRAVO Gingerbread Recipe) 
  • Plastic straw​
  • Colorful string, yarn, or ribbon
  • Candy and icing of your choice to decorate
  • Spray shellac or clear lacquer

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Prepare cookie dough according to BRAVO Gingerbread Cookies recipe directions.
  2. Roll out dough and cut out train and other shapes.
  3. Bake cookies according to recipe directions. 
  4. After taken out of oven, while still warm, poke a hole at the top of the cookies with the plastic straw (about one inch from the top).
  5. After the cookies have cooled, decorate with frosting and candy of your choice. 
  6. Spray with shellac or clear lacquer from a craft store to preserve the cookie. IMPORTANT: This will keep the critters away!
  7. Use colorful string, yarn, or ribbon to hang the ornaments. 
  8. Enjoy the festive creation you have just made!
